| Learning Objectives: Class Eight This session presents a process (formula) for evaluating and resolving ethical case studies specifically for this course. You should be able to evaluate and resolve case studies presented in this seminar by carefully following each of the component of this process. The rubric involves four components; identifying possible ethical issues and relating the rules and principles of ethics to the identified issues, identifying the stakeholders and their motivation, weighing the evidence, and determining a resolution within the parameters of ASHA's regulations. The process is offered as a foundation from which you might develop their own system of ethical assessment later in their career. © Rentschler, 2008 |
